Every platform includes a basic events calendar for casual events. For repeating events, selling tickets or managing more complex events, I recommend embedding a Google Calendar, or, if you need scheduling, a service like Calendly. Single events have bookmarkable pages, like National Book Lovers Day, and for more fanfare, you can create a landing page.
While the day’s origins may be shrouded in mystery and rumor, the books themselves are not. Starting from carving on stone tablets thousands of years ago, the book was designed to make the writings and drawings portable for those that could not be carried around on stone tablets. Originally these written documents were made on parchment or vellum (calf skin, in case there’s some question) that was then bound tightly with a wooden cover.
Often the wooden cover was tightly wrapped in leather to prevent the wood from getting wet and had clasps or straps to hold it shut. In Eastern cultures, carved wooden blocks were used with ink to print out texts on cloth, as early as 220 AD.
With the unique flavors of chocolate, cherry and pistachio all combined together, along with fruit and nuts, Spumoni offers a special mix of flavors and textures that all add up to something absolutely wonderful!
Thought to have its origins in the area of Naples, Italy, most food historians believe that Spumoni was first created in the 19th century and has evolved since that time. It was probably around the 1870s that Italian immigrants introduced Spumoni to the United States. And some of the best Spumoni available in the US today can still be found in predominantly Italian neighborhoods of large cities.
